Telling Time in Italian
What time is it? => Che ora è?
As in most of the romantic languages, there are several ways to tell time. It seems that the best method, across the board, is to simply state the hour and the time:
1:44 p.m. = È l'una e quarantaquattro
2:30 p.m. = Sono le due e mezza
8:06 a.m. = Sono le otto e sei (di mattina)
10:15 p.m. = Sono dieci e un quarto (di sera
at 6 (sharp) = Sono le sei (in punto)
It's midnight = È mezzanotte.
It's noon = È mezzogiornio.
When do we go? = A che ora partemos?
